Paula Patton (born in 1960) is an American actress. She has also directed films such as Mission: Impossible: Ghost Protocol. While growing up with her family in Los Angeles with a middle-class mother, Patton had many dreams. Her mother was a film lover and was a constant source of encouragement to her love for films when she was a kid. Paula was involved in her school's co-curricular activities and was particularly drawn to dramatics. Paula was a fantastic actress, and she enjoyed performing alongside her fellow students. After performing in a variety of performances at the high school of Hamilton Magnet Arts High School She decided to pursue acting her career. She was enrolled in The University of Southern Cal's summer program, and enjoyed tremendously. She was offered a contract for three months to produce documentaries on PBS. When she finished the three-month assignment successfully the first task was in the field of production for television documentaries. Then, she switched to producing documentaries. However, she had always wanted to become an actress, although she was content at her job. She started her acting career through a tiny character in the romantic comedy film Hitch, alongside Will Smith. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film and TV shows.
